GAME DAY: Sydney v GWS at the SCG | 3AW Radio

GWS has dealt their crosstown rivals another blow, winning the Sydney Derby by 42 points.

Somewhat incredibly, the Swans have backed up their Grand Final appearance with five losses to start the season.

In some good news for the Swans, star forward Lance Franklin booted the 800th goal of his career, just the 12th player in history to reach that milestone.

Kane Cornes said the Giants showed maturity to recover from Sydney’s fast start.

‘I thought it was a complete performance,’ Cornes said.

The Giants lead by 32 points at the main break.

Sydney burst out of the blocks with four goals in the first four minutes of the match.

However, they haven’t added another one since then, with GWS piling on nine unanswered majors to the main break.

But if they are to slip to 0-5, it won’t be without a fight.
