Six teens charged over stabbing death of school boy at Deer Park

Six teenage boys have been charged over the tragic stabbing death of a school boy at Deer Park.

The teens, aged between 13 and 16, have been charged with violent disorder and affray after a 16-year-old was allegedly set upon by the group outside Brimbank Shopping Centre.

They’re due to face the Children’s Court on Wednesday afternoon.

They spent last night in custody.

Meanwhile, a further three teenagers were arrested when police were attacked at the crime scene about two hours after the fatal stabbing.

Two of those three are expected to be charged on summons.

Two police officers were reportedly injured in the scuffle.
