Homeless man Adam tells 3AW’s Tony Jones he earns a decent amount of money from begging and being homeless is his choice.

This comes after the Lord Mayor’s plans to crackdown on homeless camps around the city.

Adam was standing at the corner of Spencer and Collins streets holding a sign that read ‘I need $100 to get on’ – Meaning he wanted the money for drugs, specifically heroin.

He tells Tony Jones he makes around $150 a day from begging.

‘People are homeless, you’re not going to stop it ever,’ he tells Tony.
