Woman facing charges after she allegedly tried to egg the Prime Minister
A female protester who allegedly tried to egg the Prime Minister at Albury has been charged.
The 24-year-old, who snuck up behind Scott Morrison while he was mingling with people at a Country Women’s Association event, has been charged with common assault.
She was also charged with drug possession.
The woman has been granted strict conditional bail and will appear in court later this month.
She told reporters Mr Morrison “deserved a lot worse” than what she’d done.
An elderly woman was knocked over while the incident unfolded.
